Credit Cards/ATMs: Credit cards are most often used rather than cash. Mastercard, VISA, AMEX, Discover are usually accepted everywhere. ATMs easily accessible.

When to Visit: Texas is a very large state, so the weather is often different in the North compared to the South. In general, Texas gets pretty hot in the summer (we're talking 100-110+ degrees), so you may wish to avoid travel during the summer months (particularly July and August). March - May and October - November are usually the most pleasant temperature wise. Winters are mild averaging 40s-60s every day.
